Because RealAR is an App, you can also share live walkthroughs through video sharing software like Zoom, BlueJeans, Skype, and Facebook Messenger, all from your smartphone device and untethered. In most instances this will use your mobile device Screen Record feature (not Screen Mirroring which can cause some confusion).
Prerequisites are that you have installed your video conferencing app (e.g. Zoom) and have a good battery life and stable internet connection - these are important as you will be video screen sharing, running AR and conference calling all at the same time from your smartphone device.
First step is to open the RealAR App (download here), Place a Model and then Go Real Size.
Then open your Video Conference software (e.g. Zoom) from your device (i.e. not your Desktop)
- Start your conference call meeting as usual, then Share Content > select Screen.
- Screen Recording will then appear, select (e.g.) Zoom, BlueJeans, or other and Start Broadcast
- Screen Recording will then start (red icon will appear), then switch to RealAR app (do not close)
- Start walkthrough in Real Size from RealAR
- Stop Broadcast when finished
Similar to Record and Share walkthrough videos screen sharing can also be done from the RealAR App.
Protips:
- Set up your RealAR walkthrough first, before the Conference Call
- Go Do Not Disturb to turn off notifications from your device
- For higher quality results or in low bandwidth Dial in using your Phone (not Internet) and Stop Video during walk-through
